Our Client is a well-established multidisciplinary practice in Malta seeking a talented and motivated Structural Design Engineer to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically skilled professional to work on a diverse portfolio of projects, including residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructural developments.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design structural systems using steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and timber, ensuring compliance with Eurocodes and local regulations.
  • Prepare structural analysis, design calculations, and technical documentation for construction and planning permits.
  • Produce and review detailed drawings in collaboration with architects, drafters, and other engineers.
  • Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during construction to ensure designs are implemented correctly.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and consultants to coordinate and manage project requirements.
  • Contribute to the preparation of tender documents, specifications, and project reports.
  • Support partners in the delivery of engineering solutions within time and budget constraints.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum of 2years of relevant experience in structural design.
  • Strong understanding of structural engineering principles, design codes, and construction methods.
  • Proficiency in structural design and analysis software (e.g., Robot, ETABS, SAP2000, Tekla, or similar).
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and BIM/Revit workflows is considered an asset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Warranted or in the process of obtaining a professional warrant to practice in Malta would be ideal.
  • Experience working on projects within the Maltese regulatory and construction environment.
