Job Description:
One of our longstanding clients is currently in search for a Supply Chain Manager to lead and manage the Company’s end-to-end Supply Chain functions, ensuring the timely, cost-effective, and reliable supply of materials and services required for operations. The role establishes best-practice processes, systems, and controls to support the transition into full operations, drives value through effective sourcing and inventory management, and develops a high-performing team aligned with business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Managed all end‑to‑end Supply Chain functions: procurement, inbound logistics, warehousing, and fuel management.
- Ensured continuous and timely supply of equipment, spare parts, consumables, and operational materials.
- Support the transition from development to operations by implementing best‑practice systems and controls.
- Built strong working relationships with end‑users across mining, processing, engineering and maintenance, road/marine exports, and site/camp teams.
- Provided leadership and guidance to develop a high‑performing Supply Chain team.
- Oversaw preparation of Scopes of Work and RFQs, negotiating contracts to achieve the lowest total cost of ownership.
- Issued weekly management reports highlighting supply risks, turnaround times, and mitigation actions.
- Delivered performance management: setting goals, coaching, feedback, development, and recognition for team members.
- Maintained strict document control protocols for Supply Chain activities.
- Supported transition to a new ERP system and ran structured training programs for Supply Chain staff.
- Managed Master Vendor Data and inventory control parameters, including min/max stock levels, consumption rates, lead times, approved vendors, and catalogue accuracy.
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional certification in Supply Chain or Procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPSM or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Minimum of 8–10 years’ progressive experience in Supply Chain Management, with at least 3–5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Experience in mining, heavy industry, construction, or large-scale operations is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in ERP systems implementation and inventory management systems.
- Demonstrated track record in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, vendor management, and cost control.
