About Houston


ExxonMobil’s state-of-the-art campus north of Houston serves as home to its Upstream, Product Solutions and Low Carbon Solutions businesses and their associated service groups. The facility opened in 2014 and accommodates more than 10,000 employees and visitors.

By bringing many global functional groups together, the campus provides employees with the tools and capabilities needed today, and in the future, to achieve business objectives and accelerate the discovery of new resources, technologies and products. What role you will play in our team


Develop and execute Procurement related Sustainability and ESG initiatives and processes, including Local Content, Human Rights, and Environmental Performance in the Supply Chain to position ExxonMobil to meet stakeholder demand and add value to Commercial activities.

What you will do


  • Interface with internal and external advocacy organizations to advocate for appropriate legislation, regulation, policy, and recommended practices, and identifies best practices to adopt; represent ExxonMobil externally
  • Work with Business Lines, Procurement, and Socioeconomics Center of Excellence to develop Local Content programs in new host countries; sustain existing programs in affiliates; set targets and steward results/metrics for reporting
  • Work with Procurement, Law, and Human Rights Focus Area Manager on execution of processes, identification and resolution of potential Human Rights (HR) opportunities and risk areas
  • Develop and implement an ExxonMobil Environmental Performance in the Supply Chain strategy/framework in coordination with relevant Sustainability Focus Areas
  • Coordinate information gathering for corporate reporting related to Global Sustainable Procurement, including for the ExxonMobil Corporate Sustainability Report and EcoVadis rating

About you


Skills and Qualifications


  • 10+ years relevant Procurement and/or Sustainability experience
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent business experience
  • Strong performer with ability to prioritize work strategically and independently, and direct the work of others
  • Proven self-starter with strong collaboration and influence management skills to grow relationships and influence key stakeholders; able to work effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Influence without authority at VP, government official level
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Direct experience with government agencies, non-governmental organizations and/or other large corporations 
  • Strategic vision to evaluate the landscape, stakeholder expectations, and anticipate future opportunities and challenges

  • Knowledge of procurement/contracting practices
  • Oil & Gas background/experience
