Job Description:

Our client, a leading global supplier of ground support and mining solutions, is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Officer – Export Markets to drive business growth across multiple African territories. The company operates in a high-performance environment, delivering innovative solutions to major mining clients.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business, managing key accounts, and driving sales performance across export markets in Africa. This role is ideal for a strategic sales professional with strong commercial acumen and experience selling into the mining sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales growth and market penetration across export territories in Africa
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with mining clients, consultants, and key stakeholders
  • Identify new business opportunities and manage the full sales pipeline from prospecting to contract award
  • Prepare and execute strategic account plans to achieve revenue and profitability targets
  • Provide market intelligence, competitor analysis, and customer feedback
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective project execution and customer support
  • Represent the company professionally in all engagements and maintain brand reputation
  • Travel extensively throughout African territories to support customer engagement and business development
  • Maintain accurate records within CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Contribute to business growth by identifying new markets and client opportunities

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

  • Proven experience in sales within or into the mining sector
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or related field (preferred)
  • Strong ability to develop and manage high-level customer relationships
  • Demonstrated experience in international business development or export sales
  • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Willingness to travel extensively across Africa
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce advantageous)
  • Highly professional, presentable, and resilient personality
  • Technical understanding of mining products or solutions (advantageous)
