The position you are applying for has been internally designated by ExxonMobil as safety sensitive / safety critical.

A Terminal Operator is responsible for the day to day operations within the Memphis Terminal. Terminal Operators conduct operational tasks for receipt, storage and delivery of bulk petroleum products in a safe and environmentally sound manner and in accordance with established procedures. Terminal Operators work a rotating shift schedule during a seven-day week that requires work on days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Shifts vary by terminal location and are often twelve hours in duration. Terminal Operators may be required to provide relief to other Terminal Operators in their work area. Terminal Operators must be willing to work in the proximity of various hydrocarbon products, electrical circuits, and machinery.
Maintain an incident free workplace by use of various Company safety programs
Read and understand station flow and pipeline alignment drawings in order to properly open/close valves for directing product flow
Coordinates and monitors product receipt and transfer operations (pipeline, truck, or as applicable), including proper valve and piping alignment.
Responsible for the accurate measurement and sampling of various products
Conducts tank gauging for month end inventory and product receipts and transfers.
Utilize computer software to perform various data input, product tracking and reporting, and company communication
Perform facility maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment, including but not limited to painting, grounds upkeep, and general housekeeping.
Terminal Operators daily duties can consist of but are not limited to:
Assists third party drivers in tank truck loading, as necessary.
Assists and/or conducts meter calibrations, as needed.
Operates Forklift and other vehicles, as needed
Position does not include travel expense reimbursement or relocation.
Demonstrated ability to maintain a consistent safe work ethic
Safe driving skills and a valid driver’s license
Able to plan daily work activities in accordance with established Company and Regulatory procedures
Able to work effectively both alone and with others
Able to communicate (read, write, and speak) effectively
Able to use Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Able to operate hand tools or other equipment to accomplish assigned tasks
Willing and able to ascending to the top of tanks to perform gauging or other work
Willing and able to work both indoors and outdoors, in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures
Willing and able to work rotating shifts, including holidays, weekends and overtime; the position will be required to respond to call-outs and perform relief work
Willing and able and able to attend and successfully complete required training courses
Willing and able to comply with the site’s requirements for safety equipment and respirator use; this may require shaving facial hair
Willing to wear other personal protective equipment as needed
