About the Role
Based in the Santos Brisbane office, this is a vital role, responsible for assisting with the day-to-day coordination of transport and related administrative activities that support Santos’ operations and development projects. We are seeking a proactive and detail-orientated Transport Coordinator to join our team!
Due to the nature of the role, some occasional after-hours/weekend work may be required.
Key accountabilities include:
- Coordinate international and domestic transport requests for materials and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with NHVL and CoR regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate reporting on transport provider performance, costs, and KPI metrics.
- Process transport invoices and control logistics expenses.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders for seamless operations.
- Contribute to cost reduction initiatives and value creation strategies.
- Uphold company standards for EHS, governance, and safety.
About You
As a motivated and experienced Transport Coordinator, you will have expert attention to detail and a willingness to adapt within a fast-paced environment. Your positive attitude and ability to forward think is highly regarded, along with:
- Experience in a similar role within Transport, Freight Forwarding, and/or international logistics, ideally in a large national organisation (heavy industry preferred.)
- Familiarity with transport management and freight coordination systems.
- Ability to manage costs and process invoices in a transport environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; comfortable and confident liaising with both internal and external stakeholders.
Ideally, you will have formal Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and relevant Dangerous Goods (DG) transport training courses (preferred but not essential.)
