NES Fircroft is a leading global technical recruitment company providing professional contract and permanent staff to a diverse world-wide client base within the mining industry. 
  Our client is currently looking for multiple Underground Electricians for a 3 month contract near Marathon, ON. Please see below details. Shift is 7 on/ 7 off- Accommodations and travel allowance is provided.

Responsibilities:

  • Taking accurate measurements of underground and surface workings and maintaining accurate and secure records
  • Proficiently use underground survey equipment such as a total station and cavity monitoring equipment; demonstrate computer skills with a 3D drafting program, preferably in a mining-specific design program
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Relevant surveying experience in an underground environment required
  • Certified Radio Tech would be preferred or someone with Leaky Feeder System experience
  • Ability to use survey software, Vulcan, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office required
  • Proven safe work record required
  • Walk on uneven ground in all weather conditions required
  • Proficient math and computer skills required
  • Team player, leadership and good interpersonal skills required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required
  • Demonstrated capacity to execute and hold self-accountable for results required.
