Welding Engineer

Airswift has been tasked by one of our major Oil and Gas clients to seek a Welding Engineer to work in their facilities located in Paris, France on a 12 months contract with possibility of extension.  

Qualifications:

  • Welding engineer with IWE or IWT certification
  • Certified Welding Inspector
  • Knowledge of Structural and Tubular Welding Codes (type AWS D1.1, ASME IX, ASME B31.3, ASME B31.8, NORSOK M101, DNV RP F101…)
  • Experience in Manufacturing Yard
  • Experience in Offshore Structural Engineering
  • Fluent English

Responsibilities Include:
• Review of supplier welding documentation

• Technical support to suppliers on welding issues

• Development of welding documentation for offshore and on-site structural and tubular manufacturing

• Coordination of welding qualifications on the manufacturing site

• Technical support to manufacturing sites on welding issues
