We are seeking an experienced supervisor who is a keen problem solver with a desire to be challenged. Reporting to the Well Intervention Lead, this is a leadership role that will be responsible for leading the organisation and execution of operational jobs across all services. You will lead safety behaviour, implementing risk management, equipment preparedness and operator development for the well intervention equipment as required.

It is expected that the Intervention Supervisor will fulfil the role of Site Supervisor on well intervention or multi-service operations, executing safe, efficiently planned and high-quality well operations.

To be successful in this role you must have excellent communication skills, have strong staff management capabilities, enjoy an autonomous work style and have brilliant organisational ability.  You will also have a proactive and innovative approach to work and demonstrate a willingness to acquire new skills, as well as developing those around you.

Key requirements of the above position include:

  • Minimum of 10 years Well Services / Coil Tubing Operations industry experience or equivalent.
  • Leadership experience of well services operations teams.
  • Collaborative skills which enable effective engagement within the wider team.
  • Have enthusiasm and commitment to high standards.
  • Prepared to speak-up, challenge the status quo and find better ways of doing things.
  • Strong ability to lead, mentor, coach and develop capabilities in others.
  • Willingness to Live Western Energy’s Values
  • Advanced knowledge of well services, tools & equipment.
  • Sound Mechanical aptitude.
  • Conceptual and analytical skills, with the ability to work logically through a process to identify and resolve operational & technical problems.
  • Basic business and financial awareness & understanding.

We are looking for applicants who have experience in well services and who have full knowledge and experience in job planning, execution, onsite leadership, & maintenance management.

Preference will be given to those with NZ working rights but we will consider international candidates with the experience we are looking for and a desire to move to beautiful Taupo long term.
