Port Harcourt — Nigeria’s national energy company, NNPC Limited, has reaffirmed its commitment to global partnerships and co-investment strategies to tackle Africa’s energy poverty, as it showcased its strategic projects and sustainability agenda at the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference, ADIPEC 2025.
Leading the NNPC delegation to the world’s foremost energy gathering, the Group Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari, said Africa’s energy future must be anchored on collaboration, innovation, and inclusion.
“Africa’s energy future must be built on collaboration, innovation, and inclusion. NNPC Limited stands ready to co-create solutions that will deliver real impact,” Ojulari declared during a closed-door session of the Global Oil Club, a premier forum of top energy leaders and institutions.
Ojulari, who led a high-level delegation to the NNPC exhibition booth at ADIPEC 2025, emphasized that sustainable investment and shared prosperity remain central to NNPC’s transformation as a commercially driven global energy player.
“We are advancing a new phase of partnership that goes beyond trade, one that de-risks infrastructure, accelerates innovation, and ensures equitable access to energy across Africa,” the GCEO stated.
The NNPC team, received by Executive Vice President, Business Services, Sophia Mbakwe, and other senior executives, showcased the company’s portfolio of transformative projects; from gas infrastructure development to methane reduction initiatives and clean energy expansion.
The NNPC delegation included the Chairman of the Board of Directors and fellow board members, reflecting the company’s unified leadership and institutional commitment to its international engagements.
The GCEO’s presence at ADIPEC also marks NNPC’s increasing influence within global energy circles, reinforcing Nigeria’s role as a key voice in the drive toward energy equity and a just transition.
“At NNPC Limited, we are committed to delivering intelligent energy solutions that guarantee energy for today and secure energy for tomorrow.
“Our participation at ADIPEC 2025 is a reflection of Nigeria’s strategic place in the evolving global energy landscape,” Ojulari said. “NNPC is not just representing Nigeria; we are representing Africa’s collective ambition for sustainable growth.”
Also representing the company, Executive Vice President, Upstream, Mr. Udy Ntia, featured in the Global Strategy Session titled “Beyond the Barrel: The Future of Upstream Strategy.”
Ntia affirmed that NNPC Limited is ready to co-invest in industry-wide solutions that will accelerate production growth, deepen gas development, and strengthen Nigeria’s competitiveness in the global energy market.
“Our focus is on optimizing production, investing in technology, and working collaboratively to ensure that Africa’s hydrocarbon resources remain part of the global energy mix,” Ntia noted.
With this year’s ADIPEC theme, “Energy. Intelligence. Impact.” aligning closely with NNPC’s transformation goals, the company’s exhibition booth became a major attraction, drawing investors and stakeholders eager to engage on Nigeria’s emerging opportunities.
The showcase featured presentations on NNPC’s gas industrialization drive, carbon management strategy, and human capital development programmes, all designed to deliver value and sustainability.
