Pemex reports gas distribution problems around Mexico City amid tanker shortage

In a statement released late on Thursday, the company said that “immediate actions have been implemented to reinforce the supply,” and that in the coming hours additional delivery units will be incorporated.

In previous days, some media reported fuel distribution problems in some areas of the country, besides the capital and adjacent areas, such as in the northern state of Nuevo Leon and the southern state of Chiapas, with service stations closed because they had no gasoline or diesel.

In her daily press conference on Thursday, President Claudia Sheinbaum admitted some complications with Pemex contracts with autotanker operators in Chiapas, but added that it would be resolved.
