Port Harcourt — The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN, Engr. Sule Ahmed Abdulaziz, has charged heads of departments in the company to ensure unified and consistent procedures in implementing labour policies across its 10 regional offices nationwide.

Abdulaziz gave the directive on Monday, while declaring open a three-day workshop themed “Aligning HR Practices and Procedures across TCN” at the company’s corporate headquarters in Abuja.

He emphasised that uniformity in human resource operations is critical to institutional efficiency and accountability.

“Consistency in HR practices is not a luxury, but a necessity,” Abdulaziz stated, noting that standardised procedures would strengthen professionalism and ensure fairness across the organisation.

The TCN boss pledged management’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for the Human Resources department to function as a strategic driver of corporate success.

“We are committed to providing the support needed for HR to take its rightful place as a strategic partner in achieving the company’s goals,” he said.

The workshop featured paper presentations and interactive sessions designed to harmonise HR policies and streamline implementation processes across the company’s operational regions.

In attendance were the Executive Director, Human Resources and Change Management, Mrs. Abiodun Afolabi, the Executive Director, Transmission Service Provider, Engr. Dr. Oluwabenga Ajiboye, as well as all Heads of HR from TCN’s regional offices.

The move signals TCN’s broader effort to institutionalize reforms and improve operational cohesion as Nigeria continues to pursue power sector stability and grid reliability.
