Partner with the best

The Lead Engineer – Project Management for the Subsea Production & Services group will provide Technical Project Delivery across Production Control System brownfield projects. The role provides a critical linkage between Engineering, Projects and Product Management.

As a Brownfield Project Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing leadership on assigned projects to ensure financial and contractual execution through established company procedures.
  • Delivering professional, high-quality results to customers (Internal and external).
  • Supporting project proposal development including scope definition, configuration, implementation, tracking and control of projects.
  • Estimate budgets and track costs of projects and is accountable for meeting project budget targets.
  • Leading engineering plan creation with engineering discipline managers and gain formal acceptance.
  • Coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Leading multi-disciplinary project team including coaching and technical direction to meet project deliverables.
  • Working closely with other disciplines including Sourcing (including Suppliers) & Manufacturing.
  • Providing regular updates to project stakeholders.
  • Acting as a change agent in the business with energy, passion & enthusiasm to support business activities and alignment of processes to Baker Hughes.
  • Taking responsibility for the development, implementation and continuous improvement of process effectiveness and efficiency within the team.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a bachelor or master’s degree in Engineering or Science based discipline or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • Have a proven experience in project engineering management or project leadership position.
  • Have an exposure in Oil and Gas domain
  • Have a proven ability to achieve business’ targets.
  • Have an ability to interface effectively at all levels of the organization and customers.
  • Have a problem solving and report out.
  • Have a resilient & persistent under all circumstances.
  • Have a commercially astute.
  • Have an aptitude for learning new technology, techniques, methods and principles.
  • Have an ability to understand and connect into the wider BAKER HUGHES Subsea Production & Services business to translate business messages across organization.
  • Have a practical knowledge brownfield project requisition processes.
  • Have a demonstrated competency in using standard project management tools.
  • Have an ability to multi-task and manage priorities.
  • Have an excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Have a confidence in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Have an energy, passion & enthusiasm to drive change.
  • Have a demonstrate excellent organizational skills and the ability to drive projects to completion.
  • Have an ability to champion and promote the BAKER HUGHES Culture.
  • Have an experience delivering projects on both small and large scales.
  • Have an ability to travel internationally as required at short notice.
  • Have a strong inter-personal and communication skills.
  • Have an excellent report writing & presentation skills.
  • Have a fluent in English
  • Have a Chartered Engineer or equivalent.
  • Have ability to provide senior leadership updates in a concise and accurate manner.
  • Have a strong knowledge sharing and mentoring capabilities.
  • Have a product Lifecycle management (PLM) knowledge.
