DESCRIPTION:
As a BIM Technician, reporting to the Operations Manager, you will have the opportunity to:
 

  • Create, modify, validate, and prepare detailed 2D and 3D construction drawings to meet the project’s expectations
  • Creates the detailed product drawings required for manufacturing
  • Creates field install drawings for Operations team
  • Has basic understanding of how to read and navigate Blueprint drawings
  • Provides input to the project dashboard/tracking system
  • Collaborates with the Operations team and BIM support lead to insure that detailing and installation practices utilize the most efficient and effective solution
  • Collaborates with the Operations team and BIM support lead to review, evaluate, and maintain VDC deliverables
  • Makes positive project outcomes measured in both labor efficiency and quality
  • Manages the workflow of all tasks assigned
  • Provides feedback to BIM lead and Supervisor to determine areas, systems, or assemblies that can be manufactured to improve efficiency during field installations
  • Completes record drawings at the end of the project
  • Able to work on different types of construction projects including but not limited to: commercial, mission critical, healthcare, industrial, and high rise
  • Understands who their “customer” is, as it relates to project support
  • Provides accurate timeline of efforts regarding all work packs to BIM project lead and/or Supervisor
  • Able to identify and communicate potential installation clashes with other trades
  • Able to read and understand submittals for physical equipment sizing and/or layout during modeling

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong BIM software experience or commercial field electrical experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
