The position

By joining our team in CFO Functional Center of Excellence you will have the opportunity to:

  • Operate the central Emergency Response phone, receiving and acting on reports of incidents, including further mobilization of Equinor’s emergency response organization.
  • Collaborate with Equinor’s emergency organization by monitoring, responding, and executing tasks in Equinor’s corporate crisis management tool.
  • Conduct notification and mass communication to employees in case of serious incidents.
  • Collect, analyze, and disseminate security and emergency related data from open-source information systems to support stakeholders.
  • Understand and mitigate threats and risks.
  • Transform collected data into written and actionable reports.
  • Maintain situational awareness of the global threat landscape and proactively inform stakeholders in a timely manner about identified threats.
  • Work within a 24/7 operations center – the position requires shift work.

The Response and Support Centre (RSC) is a 24/7 operational hub that serves as the main point of contact in Equinor for notification of emergency situations.

The RSC acts on reports of serious incidents and situations requiring emergency response support, and conducts real-time threat monitoring from open sources, initiating actions as needed.

  • Degree-level education, preferably in risk management, emergency preparedness, or a security-related discipline. Relevant professional experience in related area may compensate for formal education.
  • Experience from relevant positions within Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC), security and/or emergency response. 
  • A good understanding of security and emergency preparedness management within the energy industry or other relevant sectors.
  • Fluency in Norwegian and English language, both written and oral, as an essential requirement.
  • Strong IT and digital skills and great interest for digital solutions. In addition, prior knowledge of crisis management tools and situational awareness tools is considered an advantage.
  • Ability to handle stress in emergency situations.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
  • Able to work on shifts (includes weekends, nights, holidays), either alone or with other operators.
