Job Description

As the Environment Approvals Advisor, you will lead the preparation of the 5 yearly revisions of the FLNG Environment Plan. You are expected to manage all aspects of the Environment Plan revision and will have multiple internal and external stakeholder interfaces.
You must have a deep commitment to our values, code of conduct, Goal Zero and visibly demonstrate a simplification and delivery mindset. You are expected to role model inclusive behaviors and create an environment where different views and perspectives are encouraged and valued.

You will thrive on partnering with the business to deliver high quality technical solutions that comply with risk-based Regulations, and directly supporting our operations. Specifically, your role will focus on protecting and enhancing the natural environment and contributing towards net-zero emissions and social license to operate strategic ambitions by:

  • Delivering Environment Plan revision including the and manage the interface with operations, the project and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assisting compliance and ongoing operationalization efforts through upskilling of environment competencies and awareness within the asset.

Furthermore, you will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification (desired) in a technical / environment related discipline (essential).
  • A minimum of 5 years offshore environmental approvals experience (essential).
  • LNG operational experience and knowledge of industry process/environmental risks. Delivering current/best practice controls.
  • Knowledge of national and international environmental legislation and standards.
  • Experience and skill in the application of Environmental legislation, Environmental tools, and techniques.
  • Excellent external stakeholder liaison skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills and a willingness to proactively connect stakeholders across the business.
  • The courage to share views, insights, uncomfortable truths whilst accepting and supporting decisions made.
  • Relentless drive for simplification and improvement.
