Field Instrument Engineer – Europoort, Netherlands

As we continue to expand our operations in the Europoort region, we are seeking a talented and motivated Field Instrument Engineer to join our team.

Key responsibilities and main tasks:
1. Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance activities on instrumentation systems including but not limited to pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters, control valves, analyzers, and PLC systems.
2. Troubleshoot and diagnose faults or malfunctions in instrumentation systems and implement corrective actions in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
3. Calibrate instruments according to established procedures and standards to ensure accurate and reliable measurements.
4. Collaborate with other engineering and maintenance teams to identify opportunities for improvement in instrumentation systems and participate in the implementation of upgrades or modifications.
5. Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and calibration procedures in compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
6. Provide technical support and guidance to operations and maintenance personnel on instrumentation-related matters.
7. Stay updated on advancements in instrumentation technology and recommend innovative solutions to enhance system performance and reliability.
8. Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times to maintain a safe working environment for oneself and others.

The experience shall include:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
2. Proven experience 10 years working as an Instrumentation Engineer or similar role in the energy, petrochemical, or related industries.
3. Strong knowledge of instrumentation principles, control systems, and industrial automation technologies.
4. Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and maintenance of instrumentation systems including knowledge of HART, Foundation Fieldbus, and Profibus protocols.
5. Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., IEC, ISA, API) pertaining to instrumentation and control systems.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and implement effective solutions.
7. Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
8. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various sites within the Europoort region as needed.
