About Houston

 

ExxonMobil’s state-of-the-art campus north of Houston serves as home to its Upstream, Product Solutions and Low Carbon Solutions businesses and their associated service groups. The facility opened in 2014 and accommodates more than 10,000 employees and visitors.

What role you will play in our team

 

Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of vendor management guidelines, best practices, processes, controls standards and is viewed as a global subject matter expert. Owns and Manages the PLSO VMO best practices and executes training and support to all PLSO Global Vendor Managers in the execution of the best practices.
Oversee and provide subject matter expertise for commercial negotiations.
Owns the escalation responsibilities for all above site Vendors of the global PLSO environment engaging in several key relationships C-Suite meetings and business reviews

What you will do

  • Manage the activities related to vendor relationships, contract and commercial terms and conditions, and product or service performance
  • Act as a mediator for internal conflicts regarding budgets, projects and other issues related to vendor management
  • Maintain/enhance tools for use in vendor management, including vendor tracking tools and vendor performance scorecards and dashboards
  • Monitor and report on vendor performance in the areas that include quality, capacities, systems and responsiveness
  • Collect, consolidate and communicate detailed and summary vendor results to multiple constituents on vendor performance and relationships
  • Analyze problem areas and help resolve disputes
  • Demonstrates ability to lead major global incidents response activities for payment and loyalty ecosystem operations
  • Assist subject matter experts and procurement with vendor evaluation and selection criteria, procedures, and best practice tools and templates
  • Develops plans for contract bidding/renewal of complex and/or multi-country contracts consistent with global vendor management standards/best practice
  • Works with key ExxonMobil functions to proactively identify and seek opportunities for commercial improvement in existing contracts or by developing new vendor relationships
  • Provide financial information for the annual budget; identify cost reductions
  • Manage communications with vendors. (Who can communicate on what issues and topics, and under what forms and forums?)
  • Works with related ExxonMobil functions to proactively identify and seek opportunities for commercial improvement in existing contracts or by developing new vendor relationships
  • Demonstrates ability to develop long term vendor management strategy 
  • Leads development of global vendor management guidelines, best practices, processes, controls standards
  • Demonstrates ability to lead major global projects to achieve vendor management strategic objectives or improve effectiveness/efficiency of global vendor management systems/processes
  • Viewed as a global subject matter expert and is accountable for training and development of corporate vendor management expertise
  • Coaches others in vendor management practices and has role within the cVMO led by Procurement

About you

 

Internal:

  • PLSO Global LT – VMO expertise, commercial/negotiations support/lead, incident response, technical support of ecosystem strategic developments
  • cVMO – engaged to help develop and review cVMO best practices for MSP engagements/bids
  • Procurement – review strategies for contracting within Retail ecosystem and development of RFP best practices 
  • SCOTIT – engage in operational strategies to support vendor systems and engage for RFP execution

 

External:

 

  • Vendor relationship managers (approx. 15 Global)
  • Vendor C-Suite relationships (CEO, CFO, CIO, CTO) (approx. 3 Global)
  • Attend vendor management committee for product development

  • The expected annual salary range for this position is $90,410 – $112,900. Individual pay will be determined based on various factors, which may include skills, abilities, qualifications, work experience, and education.. 
  • Pension Plan: Enrollment is automatic and at no cost to you. The basic benefit is a monthly annuity to be paid to you in retirement for the rest of your life. 
  • Savings Plan: You can contribute between 6% and 20% of your pay and are encouraged to enroll right away. If you contribute at least 6% to your savings plan, the Company will contribute a 7% match.
