HELPER/ SUPPORT

Roles & Responsibilities

➢ Assist crane operators, forklift operators, and riggers during lifting and material handling operations.

➢ Support in loading and unloading materials from trucks, trailers, or storage areas.

➢ Help in moving materials, tools, and lifting accessories to designated work areas.

➢ Assist in positioning, aligning, and securing loads under supervision.

➢ Ensure lifting accessories (slings, shackles, hooks, chains, etc.) are available and properly arranged before operations.

➢ Carry out basic equipment cleaning and routine checks as directed.

➢ Maintain proper housekeeping before, during, and after lifting operations.

➢ Follow instructions from supervisors, crane operators, forklift operators, and riggers.

➢ Observe safety procedures and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.

➢ Assist in barricading and securing lifting areas to prevent unauthorized access.

➢ Support in manual handling tasks when required.

➢ Participate in Toolbox Meetings (TBM) and safety briefings.

Qualification

• BSc. Engineering
• Basic knowledge of lifting operations and safety practices is an advantage.
• Relevant safety training (e.g., basic HSE training) is an added advantage
• 1-2 years experience required
