The position

By joining our team in CFO Functional Center of Excellence you will have the opportunity to:

  • Ensure accurate and timely ITX compliance within VAT, Excise duties and environmental taxes, conform to legal obligations. You will collaborate on the following tasks:
    • Collection of ITX information.
    • Centralization and reconciliation of ITX accounts.
    • Preparation, review and filing of declarations of different levels of complexity.
    • Review and quality assurance of Indirect Tax tasks.
  • Follow up the payment process in order to settle the Indirect taxes due.
  • Follow up Indirect Tax Compliance issues and coordinate these internally as well as externally.
  • Support audits by the tax authorities.
  • Inform business units with regard to Indirect Tax Compliance, to ensure that they work conform to legal obligations.
  • Provide internal Indirect tax advice on Compliance matters.
  • Apply and document SOX legislation within the scope of the assignment, as defined within Equinor.

  • Either a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or another related subject. 
  • Experience in an audit, indirect tax or accounting department.
  • Previous experience of working with SAP or another similar software. 
  • Good IT knowledge and interested in IT automation
  • Fluent in Norwegian.
  • Effective communication skills both written and spoken.
  • Previous experience of working in a LEAN environment would be an advanage.
