You will be responsible for the Instrumentation design and electrical arrangement for Compressors and Gas/Steam Turbine applications. You will have the opportunity to introduce new technology to enhance company profitability and productivity. You will be responsible for maintaining and incorporating new cost-effective solutions for designs.

As an Instrumentation Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with all stakeholders of the project to deliver Instrumentation design with the required quality, meeting customer contractual requirements.
  • Owning & delivering the Instrumentation design for the safe and reliable operation of rotating equipment for projects executed across the globe.
  • Modelling using 3D software for Instrumentation loop arrangement based on installation conditions.
  • Selection and sizing of instrumentation for industrial applications in compliance with international design standards and regulatory requirements
  • Designing a SMART instrumentation configuration against susceptibility to electric and electromagnetic noise.
  • Optimising electrical installations to standardise solutions in collaboration with the Manufacturing department.
  • Demonstrates interest to learn and delivering results

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have a BE/BTech in Instrumentation & Control Engineering with 1-3 years OR ME/MTech in Instrumentation & Control Engineering with 1-2 years of experience in an engineering position for instrumentation design
  • Have experience in EPC – Engineering Procurement Construction will be an added advantage.
  • Design experience with rotating equipment (Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, Centrifugal compressor and Turbo Expanders) will be preferred
  • Be proficient in Instrumentation design and related development tools; knowledge of industry codes and standards.
  • Have well-developed interpersonal and communication skills; able to influence and motivate others.
  • Have some knowledge of 3D Modelling tools (NX) / know about electrical installation and cable routing.
  • Have experience in AVEVA and AUTOCAD is preferred.
