Responsibilities

• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and risk managementsystems to identify areas for improvement
• Assess compliance with industry regulations company policies andrelevant legal requirements&nbsp
• Reviewfinancial transactions related to trading activities ensuringaccuracy and compliance with accountingprinciples
• Collaborate with crossfunctionalteams to develop and implement corrective action plans based onaudit findings
• Provide recommendations forprocess improvements and contribute to the development of policiesand procedures
• Stay abreast of industrydevelopments changes in regulations and emerging risks affectingthe oil and gas trading sector
• Evaluate theeffectiveness of internal controls in place to safeguard assetsensure data integrity and preventfraud
• Collaborate with other departments tounderstand their processes and ensure alignment with overallcompany objectives
• Conduct training sessionsfor employees to enhance their understanding of internal controlsand compliance requirements
• Promote a cultureof compliance and ethical behavior within theorganization
• Work with external auditors asneeded
• Monitor the implementation ofrecommended improvements and trackprogress
• Conduct followup audits to ensure thatcorrective actions have been effectivelyimplemented
• Leverage technology and dataanalytics tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness ofauditing processes
• Stay abreast oftechnological advancements in auditing and recommend relevanttools
• Effectively communicate audit findingsrecommendations and potential risks to both technical andnontechnical stakeholders
• Recommendimprovements to internal controlsystems

Qualifications

• Masters degree in any stream with certification in Internalauditing
• Minimumof years of internal auditing experience within the oil and gasindustry with a proven track record of delivering highquality auditservices
• Thorough understandingof oil and gas trading operations including knowledge ofindustryspecific risks regulations and financialpractices
• Strong analytical skills with theability to interpret complex financial data and identify key auditissues
• Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively withall levels of the organization
• Proficiency inusing auditing software and Microsoft OfficeSuite
