IET Technology and Engineering Finance for Capital Allocation

Role and Responsibilities

The IET Technology and Engineering Finance Analyst is responsible for driving financial management of IET Programs and capital allocation initiatives with main focus on Energy Equipment and Gas Technology Services.

She/He is a primary partner for EE and GTS Finance and provides critical financial support to IET Technology and Engineering Leaders in several areas, from short/medium term planning to long term capital allocation strategic analysis.

This role requires continue interaction, exposure and strong partnership with multiple business and finance stakeholders.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • leads planning cycles (LRP, AP, QMI, etc.) for R&D and program investments in coordination with all the relevant stakeholders in Energy Equipment and GTS Business Operations and Finance

  • works closely with Vectors’ Finance and Program Management for periodical reporting and closing activities

  • supports Business Operations in preparing and updating ‘’business cases’’ to assess and monitor investment returns over the entire life of the project and to support strategic decision making

  • actively participates in tollgates of Product Development Process (Business Reviews, Checkpoints, ATQ) as Finance Representative

  • provides financial support related to Aero GT investments, working with program managers and collaborating with Aero JV/GEA

  • works cross-functionally (Product Leadership, Project Management, Vectors’ Finance, Controllership) to assure consistency of quarterly R&D reporting with SOX requirements

  • owns financial and accounting activities and controllership analysis for complex investments across several legal entities

  • contributes to Capex investment planning related to R&D and Technology areas and he/she is the primary point of contact for Capital Asset Appropriation Request approval

  • perform ad hoc assignments/projects as requested, including presentations to Senior Leadership

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Significant progressive financial experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Engineering 

  • Self-starter and able to deal with complexity

  • Ability to anticipate and identify stakeholders’ requirements, lead and influence cross-functional initiatives and work in matrix organization

  • Team-work approach, collaboration attitude, solution-oriented mindset, critical thinking are required as fundamental leadership traits for this role.

  • Fluent in English and Italian
