Job Description:
Our client, a leading heavy equipment dealer supporting major mining operations across the DRC, is seeking an experienced Parts Operations Manager to lead the parts supply chain, inventory, warehousing, procurement, and distribution activities on site.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal parts availability, inventory control, warehouse efficiency, OEM compliance, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence. The role will oversee parts purchasing, stock management, parts projects, and the implementation of Parts Excellence initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain QHSE policies and procedures in line with OEM and company standards.
- Manage parts procurement activities to ensure uninterrupted supply at optimum cost.
- Oversee inventory planning, stock replenishment strategies, and inventory optimization.
- Manage warehouse and inventory operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and service excellence.
- Interface with OEM and key suppliers on parts-related matters and strategic initiatives.
- Develop, monitor, and report on Parts Operations KPIs and performance metrics.
- Lead, mentor, and develop Parts Operations personnel across the business.
- Ensure timely reporting, ERP compliance, and accurate data management.
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
- Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Management, Commerce, or a related field.
- Fluent in English with French communication skills advantageous.
- 7+ years’ experience in parts management for an earthmoving equipment dealer, based on a client site.
- Well-versed across in warehouse, inventory management, stock optimization, and supply chain best practices.
- Experience in OEM dealer environments and familiarity with their systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems such as SAP or similar enterprise platforms.
- Strong technical knowledge of heavy equipment components and parts operations.
- Sound understanding of QHSE principles and compliance requirements.
- Strong leadership, coaching, team development, and performance management skills.
- Excellent customer relationship management, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
