Piping QC Inspector

Data Centre Construction | Norway

 

I am looking to speak with Piping QC Inspectors for a site based contract on a major data centre construction project in Norway. This role will focus on the piping systems that support cooling and water infrastructure, with involvement across fabrication, installation, testing and handover. Please get in touch if you are eligible to live and work in Norway and available for an October 2026 start.

 

Location                                 Tørdal, Norway | onsite

Contract period                    October 2026 to February/March 2027

Estimated length                  Approx. 4 to 5 months

Candidate requirement        Must be eligible to live and work in Norway

Expat support                       Flights, accommodation and local transport covered for expatriate candidates

 

Role overview

You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of piping systems in line with project specifications, inspection standards, codes and Inspection Test Plans.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Inspect pipe fabrication and installation, including fit up, welding, supports and general installation quality
  • Witness and validate hydrostatic and pressure testing activities
  • Verify flushing, cleaning and chemical treatment processes
  • Inspect cooling water systems, piping circuits and valve installations
  • Ensure work is completed in line with project specifications, codes and Inspection Test Plans
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and support handover documentation
  • Work closely with mechanical, commissioning and site teams to resolve quality issues

Systems and equipment

  • Thermal Energy Storage tanks
  • Cooling water circuits
  • Hydromodules
  • Chiller piping systems

Required experience and skills

  • Proven piping QA/QC experience on industrial, energy, data centre or other mission critical projects
  • Strong knowledge of pressure testing, flushing and cleaning procedures
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications accurately
  • Good understanding of piping Inspection Test Plans and site quality documentation
  • Practical inspection mindset with strong attention to detail
