My client is a highly reputable construction business undertaking a range of civil, structural and interior projects in Malta.

 

A highly organized and strategic Procurement Manager is required to lead and manage the procurement function across various business units. This role requires a proactive and analytical professional with strong negotiation skills and a deep understanding of supply chain management, supplier relationship development, and cost optimization.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage procurement strategies that align with company objectives.
  • Oversee the entire procurement cycle, including sourcing, purchasing, delivery, and vendor management.
  • Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish long-term supplier relationships.
  • Ensure timely procurement of materials, equipment, and services in line with project timelines and operational requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with internal departments, including operations, finance, and project management, to forecast needs and align procurement plans.
  • Monitor market trends and conduct cost analysis to identify opportunities for savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Maintain procurement policies, procedures, and compliance with relevant regulations and quality standards.
  • Lead and mentor procurement staff, fostering a high-performance culture and continuous professional development.
  • Prepare regular procurement reports and analysis for senior management.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools (e.g., ERP systems).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of local and international procurement regulations and practices.
  • Experience in the construction, engineering, or industrial services sectors.
