PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST-PLANT
Job Summary
The procurement specialist will provide material purchasing service to achieve Cameron’s goal of customer satisfaction and on time delivery. Support customer requirements by locating qualified vendor sources to deliver a quality material on time and at the best cost.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Coordinates all activities related to procurement of a commodity beginning with intent to purchase through delivery.
- Interfaces with associated support groups to plan and prioritize material purchases and supplier base to support scheduled production and shipment.
- Communicate Cameron policies, program requirements and cost targets to suppliers. Negotiates the lowest possible cost for the commodity balanced against the optimum quality and schedule needs.
- Implements purchase contracts that comply with company and government regulations.
- Interfaces with vendors to improve quality and delivery performance.
- Work with internal customers regarding scheduling, production, manufacturing, and quality.
- Continuously evaluates new and existing suppliers to ensure an adequate supplier base to meet on-going production and ISO/quality standards.
- Optimize the usage of systems (MRP) to evaluate and improve vendor reliability and customer delivery.
Minimum Job Qualifications
- Degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain management is preferred
- 2-4 years of proven purchasing experience within manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of Oil & Gas Industry products and services.
- MS Suite experience
- Broad experience base in manufacturing,
- Experience with SAP software

At SLB, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at/near the top of the range. The anticipated salary range for this position is $68,000 – $85,000 depending on experience.
