Job Description

QC Inspector

− Review, evaluate and approve Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), in cooperation with relevant engineers
− Plan and schedule follow up of ITP’s and ITP activities with suppliers.
− Performs on-site or virtual inspections of parts and/or assemblies as indicated in the ITP
− Verify suppliers MRB’s (Material certificates and other relevant documentation) both prior to shipment, and after the delivery
− Follow-up of relevant supplier deviation requests
− Monitor suppliers to ensure on-time ITP execution
− Track, report and communicate progress status of all relevant activities
− Perform incoming detailed visual inspections of materials, parts, items, and units from suppliers
− Perform and record detailed measurements of supplied goods
− Verifies the conformity with respect to drawings, standards, and specifications,
− Review, verify and store/file paperwork/ technical files provided form suppliers in relevant systems and locations
− Coordinates and maintains various databases, reports, and files necessary to support the QC function,
− Supports the Workshop and Warehouse departments with relevant quality checks,
− Record and follow up on non-conformity reports raised towards suppliers

Qualifications:
− Skilled in reading engineering drawings and understanding the technical requirements detailed in specifications
− Skilled in the use of typical tools and instruments required for detailed inspections and measurements of materials and parts, such as micrometers, hardness checker etc.
− 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing and quality control
− Experience with CNC machining is desired
− Fluent in Norwegian and English
− Good knowledge in machine design, drawings, and QC activities,
− Good organization skills, flexible, stress resistant and team spirit.
− Experience with the use of traditional IT software
