QUALITY ENGINEER




Job Summary




The Quality Engineer is responsible for developing, applying, and maintaining procedures to ensure quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) of products, assets, and materials and supplies. The Quality Engineer has hands-on understanding of tool and product functionality and production.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Review project contract specifications including tender proposals, exception & clarifications, and
  • other Quality related documents.
  • Advise on Quality matters during contract reviews (i.e. Customer requirements vs. standard offerings) by provide comments, inputs, concerns and possible exceptions to Customer specifications and /or requirements.
  • Allocate Quality Plans, System Plans, and Special Processes as needed to meet Customer specifications and/or contract requirements.
  • Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluations through the creation of quality plans/inspection test plans, special procedures, and work level instructions.
  • Facilitation of project kick-off meetings and PPMs with Customers, third party inspectors, certifying bodies, vendors, etc. to convey project specific requirements applicable to manufacturing.
  • Liaise with Customer Quality representatives and/or third-party inspectors on project quality issues and records such as NCRs and FPRs generated.
  • Ensure certification complies with BoM and contract requirements and assists with the resolutions of MRB related issues for final review and approval.
  • Leads and/or participates in project quality audits.
  • Process monthly project quality reports.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of ISO 9001and other applicable industry standards.
  • Write routine reports and correspondence associated with quality assurance functions.
  • Generates and issues CPARs for Quality issues affecting the project and performs investigation / follow-up activities to ensure effective closure.
  • Develops KPIs and performs trend analysis to aid in the development of processes and procedures that focus on quality improvement
  • Provide daily technical support to the organization through the disposition of Quality NCRs and solving shop floor problems with the primary focus on identification of root causes and correcting the process.
  • Facilitate cross-functional failure mode root cause investigations and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Devises sampling procedures, forms, and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
  • Perform all tasks in the safest manner possible to ensure that there is no damage to the equipment or personnel
  • Follow all HSE and Quality processes
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Minimum Job Qualifications



Engineer degree or 10 + years of experience in Project quality or Quality Management systems.

The compensation and benefits for this role are listed in compliance with applicable law. We are committed to offering fair and competitive pay aligned with each candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications, within the designated salary range for the role. Please note that the listed compensation and benefits apply only to successful candidates hired onto a local United States payroll. The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $70,000 – $120,000.
