BASIC ACCOUNTABILITY
Working under limited supervision, the Regulatory Professional role is responsible for providing independent and complex regulatory permitting and compliance support to asset teams, coordinating with internal disciplines and regulatory agencies. The role involves conducting internal reviews, monitoring regulatory developments, and participating in the development and implementation of compliance-related guidance. The role involves cultivating strong internal and external relationships to ensure compliance with regulations, coordinating information required by regulatory agencies, and providing advanced support for professionals dealing with complex permitting and compliance issues. The role involves mentoring less experienced team members in filing permit applications and reports compliance forms for Exploration & Production operations, managing reclamation ensuring compliance with regulations on federal and governmental-owned lands, and overseeing complex regulatory compliance projects. The role also focuses on building and maintaining relationships with regulatory agencies, leading concurrent projects, and demonstrating advanced project management skills to contribute to company performance and goals.

 

EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree preferred in Environmental Science, Public Policy, Business Administration, or any other related discipline and/or commensurate work experience is required.

 

EXPERIENCE
Requires a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, preferably in areas such as Regulatory Compliance, or a related field. Industry experience is preferred.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provides complex regulatory permitting and compliance support independently to asset teams, coordinating with internal disciplines and federal agencies with minimal supervision.

• Conducts internal audits to assess and strengthen compliance controls while also monitoring and analyzing regulatory developments to assess their impact on the organization.
• Participates in the development and implementation of compliance-related training programs and ensures that business practices align with ethical standards and compliance requirements.
• Cultivates strong internal and external relationships to ensure compliance and assists in responding to external regulatory inquiries and examinations.

• Coordinates, plans, and compiles information required by regulatory agencies, ensuring comprehensive compliance in Exploration & Production operations.
• Provides advanced support for professionals dealing with complex permitting and compliance issues, ensuring a thorough approach to regulatory matters.
• Builds and maintains relationships with regulatory agencies, fostering effective communication and collaboration.

• Works under limited supervision, leads concurrent projects, mentors less-experienced professionals, and initiates change, driving improvements within the discipline.
• Cultivates effective relationships, shares knowledge, and provides influence over regulatory compliance projects and peer groups, demonstrating understanding of industry best practices.
• Identifies, diagnoses, and recommends regulatory compliance solutions independently, collaborates across disciplines, and demonstrates advanced project management skills, contributing to company performance and goals.
