We are currently supporting a leading organisation within the energy sector in their search for an experienced Project Manager / Senior Project Engineer to oversee the full lifecycle delivery of major power generation and water infrastructure projects.

This is a key role responsible for driving projects from early concept through to commissioning and handover, ensuring delivery is achieved safely, on time, and within budget.

The Role:
– Lead the end-to-end delivery of capital projects, from initiation through to close-out
– Ensure HSSE remains a top priority across all project phases
– Manage scope, schedule, cost, and quality, ensuring alignment with project objectives
– Oversee engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities
– Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution
– Ensure compliance with all relevant standards, regulations, and project requirements

Requirements:
– Minimum 12+ years’ experience in project engineering / project management within power generation and/or desalination
– Strong experience working on IWPP (Integrated Water & Power Plant) projects
– Proven background operating on the client/owner side of major projects (Middle East experience preferred)
– Demonstrated expertise in scope development, tendering, bid evaluation, contract management, and risk assessment
– Strong understanding of grid integration, distribution systems, and plant interfaces
– Full lifecycle project experience from feasibility through to commissioning and handover
– Proficiency in Primavera P6, SAP-PS, and standard project management tools
– Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership capability

Additional:
– Experience within renewable energy projects is advantageous
– Professional membership (e.g. engineering or project management institutions) is a plus
