Work Schedule: Monday – Friday

 

Summary

The main duties of Shop Hand is to provide assistance for a variety of daily tasks, including daily for both the office and the shop. This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday with overtime eligibility and planned overtime required.

 

Responsibilities

  • Regular maintenance, repairs, cleaning, painting, and servicing on our equipment
  • Equipment and spare inventory assisting equipment departments
  • Cleaning and maintenance of the office, warehouse, and shop site location
  • Pipefitting and some carpentry work
  • Picking and packing of daily orders
  • Maintaining shipping and receiving records
  • Organizing shipping and receiving between vendors and the shop
  • Operate forklift, wheel loader, and man lift for oilfield equipment
  • Preparing freight waybill documents
  • Maintaining and replenishing shelf stock levels
  • Loading and unloading of freight with forklift
  • Ordering and loading out hot shots. Both during business hours and after hours
  • Ordering cranes and/or pole trucks to assist with loading and unloading equipment
  • Managing and maintaining all tubular requirements. Including, but not limited to, inventory, shipping and receiving, material transfers, etc.
  • Managing garbage pickup
  • Managing snow removal
  • Managing weed and pest control
  • Various other tasks as assigned by the Operations Manager

 

Knowledge & Skills

Must possess an excellent attitude towards safety and working in a safe environment

Self-motivated and able to work unattended

Good communication skills both written and verbal

Ability to work collaboratively in a team atmosphere as well as independently

Capable of effectively using a computer/smartphone for data entry and reporting, including the use of Microsoft Office and various other software

 

Experience

Oil and Gas experience is considered an asset

Experience operating a forklift /loader

Mechanical knowledge and previous experience in mechanically inclined positions
