- Learn and extend our image processing and analysis tools to generate 3D rock micro-models for simulation of fluid flow
- Deployment and further development of internal machine learning tools
- Collaborate with Wintershall Dea´s data science experts to build on our existing platforms for machine learning
- Combine working at the Barnstorf lab with remote online work in a flexible way
- Put into practice your studies to help us more efficiently produce gas and store CO2 in our reservoirs worldwide
- You are a final year BSc or a MSc student in Computer Science, Data Science, Physics, Mathematics or related disciplines
- You are proficient in Python coding and comfortable with Numphy or PyTorch
- Working knowledge of Machine Learning would be desirable
- Fluent in English, oral and written (German language skills are a plus)
- Curiosity and ability to quickly learn and understand new topics
- Self-motivated and solution oriented
