Subsea Structural Engineer
Initial 12 Month Contract
Kingston-upon-Thames, Surrey – 3 days per week in office, 2 days per week from home
Outside IR35

 

Are you an experienced Subsea Structural Engineer with a strong Analysis background? This could be the role for you!

 

An experienced Subsea Structural Engineer is required to join the team in London working on a large subsea installation project based in South America.

 

Skills required:

 

  • As the Subsea Structural Engineer, you will be capable of performing subsea structural analysis works and develop technical solutions to design requirements.
  • As the Subsea Structural Engineer, you will be degree qualified structural engineer with minimum 5 years design experience in offshore subsea structures (such as, FLETs, Manifolds, Suction piles and large mud-mats).
  • Knowledge of structural computational modelling and analysis (FEA).

 

Software and qualifications:

 

  • FEA software ABAQUS (2D shell and 3D solid elements)
  • As the Subsea Structural Engineer, you will have experience with beam software SACS and hand calculations
  • As the Subsea Structural Engineer, you will have knowledge of the standards API 2A WSD, AISC 9th Edition (structures) and DNV-ST-N001 (marine operation).
  • Experience with MathCAD software is preferred
