Tax Coordinator – East Africa

The Regional Tax Coordinator is responsible for tax matters for a specific country or several countries within a GeoMarket. 

Responsibilities:

• Review and file fiscal accounts, tax returns and tax payments in compliance with local regulations.
• Review intercompany agreements and practices.
• Audit internal compliance with tax regulations.
• Review FP8 and define practice for recording tax provisions in accordance with policy.
• Review employee related withholdings and tax related issues.
• Support operations in the bidding process, including setting up new operations, and in reviewing customer bids and contracts.
• Provide liaison for and monitor local tax audits.

Experience & Exposures:

• Minimum bachelors degree in finance or equivalent.
• 4-8 years work experience in tax practice
• Professional qualification and membership of a national/international chartered accounting or taxation Institute
• Solid understanding of tax regimes and regulations, tax audits and compliance procedures in East Africa.
• Proficient in ERPs eg SAP.
• Good communication skills.
