Job Description:
Our client, a leading supplier of earthmoving and mining equipment across Africa, is seeking an experienced Chinese Relationship Officer to act as the key liaison between Chinese-speaking customers and internal technical and commercial teams.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in heavy equipment dealerships servicing the mining and construction sectors. The successful candidate will combine technical understanding with exceptional client relationship and sales skills to support customers operating large mining and construction equipment fleets across Africa.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Chinese-speaking mining and contractor clients.
- Serve as the primary communication link between customers, internal departments and suppliers.
- Provide technical and commercial support throughout the equipment sales and aftermarket lifecycle.
- Identify opportunities to grow equipment, parts and service business.
- Coordinate with workshop, parts and service teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Assist with quotations, contract negotiations and customer presentations.
- Support equipment commissioning, maintenance planning and technical discussions where required.
- Travel regularly to customer sites across Africa.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and resolve technical or commercial issues promptly.
- Maintain a strong understanding of customer operations, fleet performance and future equipment requirements.
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
- Technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Diesel Mechanics, or similar.
- Fluent Mandarin communication skills (essential).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the earthmoving equipment supporting the mining sector.
- Strong background in large HME OEM / dealer environments.
- Technical knowledge and understanding of mining HME.
- Proven experience in sales, key account management or customer relationship management.
- Strong commercial awareness and business development skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Willingness to travel across Africa as required.
- Self-motivated, organised and customer-focused.
