What role you will play in our team

 

The Environmental Coordinator/Advisor will work within the Site Safety, Security, Health & Environmental (SSHE) Division supporting the Environmental Section.  The Environmental Section supports a manufacturing plant in Gregory, Texas by completing regulatory analyses, maintaining existing regulatory compliance systems, and ensuring compliance with internal and external reporting requirements.  The position will keep up-to-date with assigned regulations and supports ExxonMobil Advocacy staff to drive reasonable rulemaking and interpretations.  This position is location in Gregory, Texas.

What you will do

 

  • Provide compliance support to manufacturing sites, including analysis of environmental regulations and applicability determinations
  • Support the review of physical and operational changes utilizing established best practices to ensure compliance with assigned regulations
  • Complete internal and external reporting obligations for assigned reports/requirements
  • Support compliance assurance processes including, Regulatory Analysis, Regulatory Interpretations and Guidance and Compliance Support Tools (e.g. checklists, workshops, manuals, database)  
  • Manage agency enforcement actions as necessary using available SSHE and Law resources
  • Coordinate internal Corporate Environmental Reporting
  • Assist Regulatory Planning Advisor with development of position statements on regulatory issues using accurate data, scientific principles, and risk and cost benefit analyses  
  • Participate in internal and external regulatory compliance assessments

About you

 

Skills and Qualifications

 

  • Demonstrated knowledge of emissions calculations and methodology
  • Demonstrated knowledge of air permitting
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant environmental experience
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant manufacturing experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Federal & State of Texas environmental requirements

 

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience

 

  • Bachelor of Engineering degree; Chemical or Environmental preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Organizational leadership skills
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Work, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong detail orientation
  • Strong business ethics
