Job Overview
Internships provide opportunities to learn and apply financial planning and analysis concepts in office settings, through a combination of team and individual project assignments. Devon offers corporate internships that depend on the candidates’ experience and the availability of projects.
Responsibilities
Duties are those that would typically be assigned to an entry level planning professional. Interns apply general principles, theories and concepts of financial planning and analysis assignments such as understanding financial impact of our business, how the past informs the forecast, automation of processes, and ability to research and explain variances. Tasks could include the following:
Determining Capital vs Expense vs G&A on financial statements
Perform variance analysis on actuals compared to forecast; recommend updates to the forecast, if necessary, always with a continuous improvement mindset.
Review Mosaic forecast monthly prior to data extraction (Expense, capital, production, price)
Mosaic Administrator: Update and adjust Mosaic on Monthly/Quarterly basis.
Verifies completeness and accuracy of both internal and external data generated by the team members.
Ability to work with PowerBI dashboards to review actuals and forecast data.
Applying an understanding of Automation processes and how deeply they integrate into daily work.
Prepare and review Financial Reports as required.
Observe and participate in monthly financial reviews with Business Unit VP’s and management teams.

Qualifications
• Full time student
• Pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, MIS, Mathematics, economics, and other related disciplines
• College level: Sophomore, Junior, Senior, Masters
Conditions of Employment
• Successfully complete a background check and drug screen
• Must provide own transportation daily from corporate housing to work location
• Completion of Federal Employment Eligibility Verification (I-9)
