ExxonMobil has a long-term commitment to China through investments, products, technologies and partnerships, helping meet China’s growing demand for energy and petrochemical products.

Research and Development

ExxonMobil Shanghai Technology Center (STC) opened in 2011 to develop and deliver innovative solutions to customers throughout China and Asia Pacific. In April 2018, we completed the multi-million dollar expansion of STC. The expansion includes a new, state-of-the-art research and development facility to support customer growth through collaboration and innovation.

On February 15, 2023, ExxonMobil broke ground on construction of a new technology center at the Dayawan Petrochemical Industrial Park. Dayawan Technology Center will focus on developing new high performance products and innovative processes to bring products to commercial scale.
