Plant Manager – Gold / Underground – Mongolia

We are seeking a skilled Mine Manager to join our team at an underground gold mining operation in Mongolia. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in underground gold mining, particularly in narrow, steeply dipping ore-bodies.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of underground mining operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and productivity.
• Lead and manage a team of mining professionals, including supervisors, engineers, and operators.
• Develop and implement mining plans and strategies to optimize ore extraction and maximize production.
• Monitor and control production costs, budgets, and schedules.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
• Implement and maintain effective mine ventilation, ground control, and water management systems.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as geology, engineering, and maintenance, to achieve production targets.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to develop the skills and capabilities of the mining team.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in underground gold mining operations.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
• Technical expertise in narrow, steeply dipping ore-bodies.
• Knowledge of mining equipment, methods, and technologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a remote location on a rotational basis.
