What you will do

 

·Primary link between project management and the technical disciplines (engineering specialists, design engineers, contracting, purchasing, etc.) involved in a project.
· Engage engineering specialists, third party resources and expert resources from the project team and functions as required to complete their work scope consistent with the Project Objectives
·Coordinate engineering specialist reviews (ES3) of contractor’s engineering deliverables including timely closure of all follow-up actions· Serve as interface between project team and contractor, including:
· Administer and enforce the Coordination Procedures
. Oversee FEED level engineering, procurement and execution planning through to completion and start up.·Review contractor’s designs, technical bid evaluations, and vendors’ drawings (as appropriate)·Participates in identification and sourcing and management of long lead equipment·Coordinates project issues identification and resolution process
· Appraise the contractor’s performance in the planning and execution of the engineering, design-drafting, and procurement with regard to quality, cost, and schedule
· Recommend corrective action to be taken where deficiencies in the contractor’s performance are uncovered and verify that corrective
actions are taken
· Act as engineering liaison with the site by scheduling / coordinating timely site reviews, making certain authorized changes are incorporated in the work, verifying necessary approvals are obtained for vendors and subcontracts lists, and monitoring capital spare parts procurement efforts·Participate in technical reviews with contractor and vendor personnel
· Participate in all required reviews (HAZOPs, 3-D Model, Constructability etc.)
 

About you

 

•    Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from recognized university
•    >5 years’ working experience in oil and gas / petrochemical industry.
•    Experience&knowledge in chemical process design is an advantage.
•    Familiar with China regulations and government permit process for hazardous chemical projects
•    Basic knowledge of project relevant tool & software, eg Auto CAD
•    Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills
•    Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads & frequent changes in priorities
•    Be able to use English as working language
