Static Equipment Engineer
Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
Full-time, Agency Contractor
Reporting to the Field Engineering Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Static Equipment Engineer to join our team in Dar es Salaam. You will work closely with a diverse group of engineers, providing technical support during construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning phases, with regular site visits required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical coordination between local and international engineering teams, suppliers, and vendors.
  • Oversee installation, inspection, and testing of static equipment such as vessels, fired heaters, pig launchers, and stacks.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international standards, including ASME, API, and ASTM.
  • Review and understand design drawings, P&IDs, data sheets, and equipment specifications.
  • Track design changes through the Management of Changes system and verify site installations.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5-10 years of experience, preferably in the oil & gas industry.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (ASME, API, ASTM).
  • Ability to register with the Engineering Registration Board (ERB).
