Purchaser- Paris

On behalf of a major operator, WRS are looking for a Purchaser/Buyer to work in our clients office in Paris on a contract basis. This is a short term contract with the potential of extension.

The Intellectual Services Purchasing department manages purchases, among other consulting services, for the company. The service is required to interact with the company’s decision-makers to implement Strategy and Management consulting services.

Job Duties Include:

  • Launch Calls for Tenders with contractual negotiations and commercial; 
  • Challenge prescribers in terms of needs and specifications in order to globalise, simplify, standardise, concentrate needs and expand or even renew the supplier panel.
  • Establish synthesis and analysis grids (technical, functional, economic).
  • Ensure the proper application of framework contracts;
  • Prepare supplier performance reviews and participate in them assessment
  • Monitor the activity and performance indicators of suppliers in conjunction with prescribers;

The Ideal candidate will have:

  • MUST have the right to work in the EU
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in procurement, specifically in acquiring intellectual services within the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to navigate complex contractual agreements.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry regulations, market trends, and emerging technologies in the oil and gas sector.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
  • Familiarity with procurement software and tools.
  • Certification in procurement or supply chain management is a plus.
