We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Resource Strategy Manager within our Rockies Onshore Resources and Carbon Management (ORCM) group based in Denver, CO.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Resource Strategy Manager reports to the Rockies Asset Directors as a part of the Shared Services team, and is responsible for leading Resource Strategy team members in:

  • Supporting strategic operations and engineering groups in the Powder River and Denver-Julesburg Basin Business Unit, with focus on operational efficiency.

  • Engaging the Production Operations and Asset Teams to develop operational roadmaps and strategies to optimize the field life cycle value through fit-for-purpose designs for a next-generation oil field and planned prioritization of maintenance capital.

  • New Wedge Program. Engaging the Rockies PRB & DJ Development, Drilling and Asset Teams on opportunities to enhance well downhole and surface infrastructure designs, including supporting collaborative processes to implement technology roadmaps.

  • Dashboard digital tools – Digital transformation. Supporting the implementation of digitized innovations to reduce capital and daily operating costs, increased operational efficiency, and sustainability of workforce practices by mitigating key concerns causing inconsistent production delivery.

  • Asset Operability Optimizations. Supporting efforts to guarantee flow assurance of oil, water, and gas production systems operated by major third-party takeaway partners through real-time hydraulic surface models and the creation of model validation and optimization workflows.

  • Schedule TTM/ scenario optimizations. Production enhancements, supporting strategic business decisions, including resource management, long and short-term planning, supply chain, and project execution.

  • Supporting Asset Directors in making strategic business decisions, including resource management, long and short-term planning, supply chain, project execution, and supporting asset acquisitions, integration, and divestitures.

  • Setting direction and supporting team members in achieving Business Unit goals.

  • Participating in workshops and training sessions supporting key operational competencies and performance tracking.

Qualifications

 

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or Geology/Geoscience disciplines

 

Experience:

Minimum of 10 years of petroleum industry experience required; E&P experience preferred.

 

Professional and Technical Knowledge/Qualifications/Licenses/Certifications:

  • Demonstrated understanding of engineering and operating principles required, recognized accomplishments in drilling, completions, production, or facilities engineering preferred.

  • Strong business acumen with an understanding of economic analysis, risk assessment, and value capture

  • Demonstrated understanding of required business processes and regulatory requirements, Colorado and Wyoming regulatory environment knowledge preferred.

  • Working knowledge of project management skills

  • Experience working in organizations with multi-discipline staffs.

  • General knowledge of Artificial Lift types, applications, design criteria and options

  • General knowledge of workover operations and stimulation treatments

  • General knowledge of drilling operations

  • General knowledge of field operations/facilities

  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills managing multi-disciplined teams.

    • Strong communication and networking skills with ability to influence without direct authority.

    • Ability to build effective teams.

    • Demonstrated quality decision-making ability.

    • Drive for results, sense of accountability for both personal and team performance

  • Demonstrated creativity in problem solving and ability to implement new ideas.

  • Ability to adapt to change and ambiguity, effectively acts without having complete picture.

Travel: This position will involve travel to outlying/field offices in places such as Casper, WY, Houston, Tx, Platteville, CO, Midland, Tx and others.
