The candidate is expected to have the ability to integrate knowledge, varied data sets, analogs and ideas to solve geological problems to support the business. They must apply geological and geophysical tools and techniques using sound judgement to achieve results efficiently and to a high technical standard. The job will be performed at the regional and sub-regional scale and is critical to capturing value by supporting exploration and portfolio growth. The candidate needs to develop an understanding of internal upstream business, processes and systems. There is a requirement for demonstrated leadership, adaptability, teamwork, excellent communication skills in English and Russian, and a commitment to high safety and ethical standards. In addition, candidates must be able to work effectively within and across diverse team environments. The candidate is expected to build broad networks across the Upstream as they will have frequent interactions with global subsurface and surface specialists, and senior management. Outside engagements and relationships are expected with third parties, including partners and contractors. The position may require periodic domestic and international travel.
