Petrol tanker fire razes bus-stop in Port Harcourt

Port Harcourt — A heavy fire from a 33,000 litres fuel tanker has razed Bridge bus-stop near First Artillery Junction, along Port Harcourt -Aba Highway, causing heavy traffic along the road.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertain, as witnesses say the fuel tanker laden with premium motor spirit fell along the road and spilt its contents.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer in Rivers State, Grace Iringe-Koko, who confirmed the development said the Rivers State Command has been notified of the fire incident.

Iringe-Koko said although the cause of the fire was not yet known, operatives of the Fire Service and the Police Control Room have been notified.
