We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of IT Expert Process within our IT department group based in Houston, Texas. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing IT service management processes to ensure the smooth delivery of IT services to our clients. The IT Service Management Process Engineer will work closely with IT managers, project managers, and IT service delivery teams to understand the IT service requirements and implement the necessary processes to meet those requirements based in Houston, TX.

Key Responsibilities:

Day to day responsibilities may include:

·       Ensuring process activities and procedures are carried out according to the documented IT Service Management (ITSM) practices

·       Coaching staff on ITSM practices

·       Recording and reporting on the misalignment between process performance and the intended outcomes to facilitate continual improvement and process advancements

·       Raising appropriate exceptions when practitioners deviate from established processes and/or when observed adoption is lower than the expected threshold

·       Collaborating with IT managers, project managers, and IT service delivery teams to ensure that ITSM practices align with the business objectives 

·       Working with technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment of ITSM practice activities with business priorities and objectives.

·       Monitoring the progress of incident resolution activities, escalating as needed to ensure timely resolution and enforce adherence to service level agreements.

·       Providing guidance and support to end-users affected by incidents, addressing inquiries, and managing expectations regarding incident resolution and service restoration.

·       Generating incident management reports and metrics to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends, providing insights for management review and decision-making.

·       Collaborating with IT teams to implement measures and controls aimed at reducing the frequency and impact of incidents.

Qualifications

 

Required Qualifications:

·       Bachelor’s degree in computer science and/or related Disciplines.

·       Experience in ITSM Practices at a larger organization.

·       Extensive knowledge of ITSM frameworks, Lean and Agile principles, process improvement and management methods primarily relating to IT organizations.

·       ServiceNow, MS Office, ITIL V3/V4 Certification.

·       Service Health reports and dashboards.

·       Very strong Customer/Stakeholder focus.

·       Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of an IT organization.

·       Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork and facilitation.

·       Strong verbal and written communication skills.

·       Demonstrable strong creative skills and a willingness to learn. 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in Oil and Gas, is preferred.

  • Training in Organizational Change Management best practices.

Relocation will not be provided.
