Senior Electrical Engineer (Petrochemical Industry)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our client’s team on a 12-month contract with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent position. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for defining the scope of customer requests, providing support in making real calculations, and collaborating with the electrical team across various locations in the Netherlands. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the petrochemical industry and ideally LV experience also you should have a proven track record of delivering successful projects.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with customers to understand their requirements and define the scope of electrical engineering projects within the petrochemical industry.
• Be proficient in performing hands-on calculations and analysing data to ensure accurate and precise engineering solutions.
• Collaborate with the electrical team to support project-based work, offering technical expertise and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Utilise your extensive experience in the petrochemical sector to design and implement electrical systems tailored to industry-specific needs and standards.
• Leverage your knowledge of relevant engineering packages to enhance efficiency and accuracy in engineering design and analysis.
• Demonstrate expertise in industrial automation to integrate advanced control and monitoring systems into electrical projects.
• Ensure adherence to all applicable industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
• Mentorship and Knowledge Transfer: Take an active role in mentoring and supporting junior and medior engineers, sharing your knowledge and fostering professional growth within the team.

Qualifications:

• Hold a BSc in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Possess several years of experience in the electrical engineering field, with a strong focus on project-based work within the petrochemical industry.
• Demonstrate proficiency in performing manual calculations and utilizing relevant engineering software and packages.
• Have hands-on experience with industrial automation systems and their integration into electrical projects.
• Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English.
• Display a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, finding innovative solutions to engineering challenges and driving continuous improvement.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, taking the lead when necessary and working harmoniously to achieve project objectives.
