At Wintershall Dea Norge AS, we are actively developing innovative Data Science & Artificial Intelligence solutions to optimize workstreams across various domains.
The summer student will work closely with the team to:
- Conceptualize and frame the problem scope for the project
- Ideate on optimal solutions for the identified problem scope
- Develop programming and/or low-code solution
- Deploy developed solution within the IT landscape
- Present developed solution to key stakeholders

- Student entering the 4th or 5th year of master studies within the discipline Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Data Science or Artificial Intelligence. Applicants from subsurface backgrounds (Geology, Geophysics, Reservoir/Drilling Engineering etc.) are also welcome
- You will have at least intermediate level Python programming skills, and knowledge and awareness of Machine/Deep learning
- Prior internship experience (in the energy industry an/or in Data Science and A.I.) beneficial but not required
- Strong problem solving skills
- Computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Fluency in English, oral and written
- Proactive, structured, self-motivated and solution oriented

Note: Applicants should already live or be able to accommodate themselves at the work location (Stavanger) for the duration of the summer job.
